Juno Acoma
Situated at a prominent corner within Denver’s Golden Triangle neighborhood, Juno Acoma aims to display what is possible when mass-timber is applied to high-rise multifamily design. New York and San Francisco-based Juno is a new type of housing developer focused on the potential for wood to create better quality, more efficient, and ultimately more carbon-conscious urban dwelling spaces. Focusing on progressive municipalities who are leading the charge for mass-timber design - Denver, Seattle, Austin - Juno engaged Points West to serve as the project architect and design collaborator for what will be their first high-rise thanks to Denver’s adoption of the 2021/2022 IBC allowing for Type IVA/B construction extending to 180’ in height.
Working in close collabroation with the Juno prototyping team, Holmes Structural Engineers, Coffman Mechanical, Proof Civil, and Dig Studio landscape architects, Points West is providing design direction and design team leadership for the 18-story, 275-unit project, which will include two amenity decks, co-working, ground floor fitness, and pet amenities along with retail space along Acoma Street.
The project will be one of a handful of mass-timber projects completed in the region and, as currently proposed, will be the tallest in Colorado.
